Two libraries. Two communities. One epic cause.

The Cedar Falls and Waterloo Public Libraries are going head-to-head in a friendly food fight to see who can collect the most pounds of food for families in need! Starting Saturday, September 20 until Saturday, September 27, bring your nonperishable food donations to your hometown library and help them win the glory—and make a big impact. Most-needed items: canned meats, peanut butter, canned fruits and veggies, soups, pasta, cereal, and basic hygiene items like soap, toothpaste, and toilet paper.

All donations go directly to the Northeast Iowa Food Bank to support families facing food insecurity across our region.

Drop off your items at your library. At the end of the drive, the totals will be weighed and the winning library will be announced!

Let’s unite our communities in some friendly competition and a whole lot of good.
