National Poetry Month Reading Series with Rachel Morgan

Calling all poetry fans! In honor of National Poetry Month, WPL will be hosting a reading series featuring local Cedar Valley poets Rachel Morgan, Jeremy Schraffenberger, and Vince Gotera. Each weekend will feature one of our speakers, ending with a community poetry open mic event on the last Saturday in April. Join us for this poetry-packed four-weekend event beginning Saturday, April 9 through Saturday, April 30!

Our first guest speaker for the Poetry Reading Series is Rachel Morgan, a poet, editor, and professor at the University of Northern Iowa. Join us Saturday, April 9 at 10am in Meeting Room AB to hear Rachel read some of her work and talk about her book "Honey & Blood, Blood & Honey". Stick around until the end of the reading to get some poetry prompts to try out for yourself at home!

Rachel will be selling her book after the event for $9.95, and will accept cash, check, or Venmo.
